The Boogeyman Trailer Reveals Stephen King's Latest Horror Adaptation

20th Century Studios has released a new trailer for the upcoming horror-thriller The Boogeyman. The Boogeyman is based on the 1978 short story by the same name, which legendary author Stephen King wrote. The film initially entered production in 2018 with Scott Beck and Bryan Woods attached to write the project for 20th Century Fox's release. Disney's acquisition of the studio in 2019 and the accompanied switch to 20th Century Studios halted production. The film was revived in 2021, though, when Rob Savage signed on to direct a screenplay from Mark Heyman that was heavily influenced by Beck and Woods' previous work.
