Connie Nielsen On Her Journey In The Dreamer – Becoming Karen Blixen

Karen Blixen is best known for her seminal memoir, Out of Africa, the story of her time in Nairobi, Kenya. The story was adapted into a feature film, also titled Out of Africa, starring Meryl Streep as a somewhat fictionalized version of Blixen. The new series, The Dreamer – Becoming Karen Blixen, explores the author's life after she gave up her life in Africa but before she became an accomplished author. The six-part miniseries (streaming on ViaPlay) chronicles the long road to the publication of her first novel, Seven Gothic Tales, and really dives into Karen's imagination to show the author's process of using fiction to articulate her thoughts on her life and the world around her.
