Ty Lee Was Avatar's Biggest Threat To Katara (Not Azula)

While Azula is a formidable opponent for Aang and his team throughout Avatar the Last Airbender, Ty Lee is actually the bigger threat to Katara in the series. Despite her disarmingly bubbly demeanor, Ty Lee is one of Azula’s childhood friends and is well acquainted with the ruthlessness that the fire princess expects to inflict on their enemies. Katara holds her own against Azula several times in the show’s last two seasons and even takes her down in the finale, but Ty Lee always has an upper hand.
