Two Autobot heroes narrowly escaped tragic fates, as Transformers: Rise of the Beast director Steven Caple Jr. reveals that the film's original ending left Optimus Prime and Mirage in bleak situations. The seventh movie in the live-action Transformers franchise and the second chapter in a new continuity, Rise of the Beasts sees the Autobots caught between a new conflict involving new Cybertrnian factions as a planet-devouring threat emerges from the darkness of space. Peter Cullen again reprised his role of Autobot leader Optimus Prime, while franchise newcomer Pete Davidson provided the voice of Mirage.
