Even though The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes tells Coriolanus Snow's origin story, the movie also contains plenty of references to the Girl on Fire, who will torment the future president of Panem 64 years later. The 2023 dystopian action film is based on the book of the same name, which serves as a prequel to the original The Hunger Games trilogy and explains how President Snow turned into a ruthless leader with no regard for human life. But the movie also reveals why Snow has so much hate for Katniss Everdeen during the 74th (and 75th) Hunger Games.
