Gilmore Girls' Revival Broke A Cardinal Rule Of The Original Show (& It Means Season 9 Would Need To Be Very Different)
Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life was a flawed revival, and one difference to the original Gilmore Girls means a hypothetical season 9 would have to mix things up again. Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life's ending was the conclusion to the story that creator Amy Sherman-Palladino never got to do back in 2007. Due to a dispute with the network, Sherman-Palladino wasn't involved in Gilmore Girls season 7, but spearheaded the revival to give the show a new finale... but not necessarily a permanent one.
