The Silver Surfer will be joining the MCU in The Fantastic Four, which means Marvel has a chance to show off some of the character’s powers that didn’t make it into the Surfer’s last live-action appearance. Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer definitely had its work cut out for it in terms of showing the full extent of the Silver Surfer’s abilities, so it’s no surprise that it wasn’t able to show everything.
