Final Fantasy 7 has never been the kind of story where everyone makes it out alive, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake can be similarly merciless. Focusing on the first chapter of the story that takes place in the city of Midgar, FF7 Remake pits a splinter cell of the terrorist group Avalanche against the ruthless corporation Shinra. The splinter cell includes the iconic Barret and Tifa, and filling out its cast are Jessie, Biggs, and Wedge, who all get fleshed out in FF7 Remake in ways that make their stories hit harder.
