Thanks in part to Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman's brilliant senses of humor, Deadpool & Wolverine has quickly become one of the most popular projects in the MCU, and the franchise's funniest installment by far. When Reynolds was confirmed to be returning as Wade Wilson's Deadpool after Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox, there were concerns that the mature, R-rated comedy and violence of Deadpool and Deadpool 2 would be lost in the MCU's family-friendly tones. This wasn't the case, however, and Deadpool & Wolverine was perhaps even more boundary-pushing than its predecessors.
