Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is a fitting reunion with the title bio-exorcist, but its ending raises many questions as part of it is a dream, but the rest is real. Tim Burton isn’t a filmmaker known for making sequels to his works, so it was a pleasant surprise when he announced a sequel to Beetlejuice, with him returning as director. Set over 30 years after the events of the first movie, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice reunites the audience with Lydia (Winona Ryder) and Delia Deetz (Catherine O’Hara), who return to Winter River after Charles Deetz’s death.
