"We’ll Have Something Really Exciting to Share," Critical Role Teases Video Game Announcement Coming Soon

Critical Role's long-standing video game ambitions could be nearing fruition very soon. Back in 2015, Geek & Sundry launched Critical Role, an Actual Play streaming show featuring a cast of voice actors playing Dungeons & Dragons. The show became an internet phenomenon and eventually became a media empire, with Critical Role selling out stadiums and launching multiple successful animated television shows on Prime Video. Now, Critical Role is its own business, with a tabletop game studio working on a Dungeons & Dragons competitor, its own streaming platform, millions of fans known as Critters, and big plans for the future.
