After Allen the Alien and Omni-Man escaped Viltrumite captivity, Allen was eager to find safety in case reinforcements arrived. Nolan was a lot calmer though, explaining that no one would come before telling his new ally about Viltrum's biggest secret. He informs Allen that fewer than 50 pure-blooded Viltrumites remained, suggesting his change of heart during Invincible season 2's ending may be permanent.
