The ending of 1923 season 2 was as brutal as the rest of the show. Five major characters died in 1923, and while many of them were villains, like Donald Whitfield (Timothy Dalton) and Banner Creighton (Jerome Flynn), there were some heartbreaking deaths as well, such as Alexandra (Julia Schlaepfer). Even in all of 1923 season 2's tragedies, however, the series found a ray of hope and a way to continue the Dutton family tree's story in the future.
