There has been a lot of doom and gloom surrounding the AAA side of the gaming industry lately. Tens of thousands of layoffs over the last couple of years and the rising costs of RAM and other components are bringing a lot of trepidation to game development, which has long been grappling with the viability of long production cycles for tent-pole releases. That hasn't stopped the idea of AAAA games from being thrown around, and the studio responsible for the modern Deus Ex games may be the next to try its hand.
